Have you ever needed to compare 2 list of computer names and spit out the difference. Like when you deploy software to 1,000 systems and only 733 got it? I know some Excel guru's can do this stuff but here is an easier method. Use this simple tool to compare the 2 list and give you the results. You can really use it for any kind of list and it is extremely fast.
Here is how it works:
1st list: The full list of computers targted
2cd list: The list of the ones hit
Outcome: The names in the 1st list that are not in the 2cd, i.e. the ones missed or had issues.
I have uploaded the vb.net source as well. The exe is in the bin directory. Nothing fancy or pretty here but it works great.
