All of Install Solutions products use a very simple licensing system. Although our software can be used to manage multiple systems at once, there is no client software installed on the remote computers. Therefore, we do not charge a per-client license. Each license purchased is intended for the admin using our software. So for example, if you have 5 administrators that would like to use our tools for deploying software you would need 5 licenses. The administrators may support 10,000+ systems, but only 5 licenses are needed. This provides our customers with an incredible value and savings no matter what size organization they support.

All of our purchased downloads must be activated before use. Currently we only offer online activation so an internet connection is required for activating your product key(s). Each product key may be activated on 2 computers, typically a desktop and a laptop but only for the same user. Once the limit of 2 systems has been reached the product keys will not activate again. However, an activation key can be released from a system so that it can be activated on another. No refunds will be accepted due to software activation failure.

All of our solutions are written in Microsoft .NET 2.0. Only the computer that actually has our tools installed needs the .NET Framework 2.0 to be installed. For remote computers to be managed, administrative privileges are typically required. Also, for Windows XP SP2 systems, the firewall may need to be disabled or configured to allow WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) to pass though.
